Deionization
Deionization systems (Ion Exchange), also known as Demineralization contain synthetic resins with reactive sites. Depending on the resin used, these sites exchange hydrogen ions for positive ions and hydroxide ions for negative ions. Depending on the quality you need we will use these separate beds, or also incorporate mixed beds which contain both cation and anion resins together to give you the highest quality and/or can further be categorized and certified as Ultrapure Water “UPW” or further to low TOC standards (80). In addition to portable exchange and on-site regenerable deionization we also offer Continuous Electrodeionionization (CEDI), a chemical free process using ion exchange resins and electricity to produce deionized water. CEDI offers low operating cost while eliminating expensive and hazardous onsite regeneration.
Through ion exchange, Deionization gets rid of unwanted minerals in your water supply. We'll help you determine which will deliver the quality of water your business needs. Ultrapure also offers specially engineered deionization systems for use on your commercial/industrial needs.
We offer custom designed systems incorporating Water Softening and/or chemical injection, Reverse Osmosis, Ultraviolet sterilizers, Submicron filtration, Resistivity and TOC instrumentation as well as portable exchange systems, rebed services including resin sales, individual or batch regeneration services and knowledgeable service on most all equipment.
Whatever quality of DI water you are looking for, we can provide it!
